The Mountain Judicial Circuit, located in eastern North Georgia, was created in 1949, and included Habersham, Rabun, Towns and Union Counties. In 1992, Towns and Union became a part of the new Enotah Judicial Circuit, leaving the Mountain Circuit with Habersham, Rabun and Stephens Counties.
